WHY THIS SPEC

Thickness tolerance is
what you are actually buying.

A sheet is a commodity until the tolerance matters. Die-cut gaskets, heat-transfer pads and compression seals all depend on thickness being consistent across the width and along the roll, because a 0.1 mm variation on a 1 mm sheet is a 10 % change in compression at the same clamp load.

We calender and vulcanise in line, then measure thickness at nine points across the width. Standard tolerance is ±0.10 mm below 3 mm and ±5 % above it; tighter bands are possible on a ground sheet, at a different price and lead time. Strips are slit from the same roll, so the thickness you qualify on a panel is the thickness you get on a 2 000 m strip order.

Thickness measured across the width
Nine-point measurement per roll, recorded on the certificate.
Slit from the same roll
Strip and panel come from one lot, so qualification carries over.
Ground sheet on request
Tighter than ±0.05 mm where a die-cut part needs it.
Wide grade range
Food, high temperature, conductive, flame retardant and sponge from one supplier.
OPTIONS

Four ways to specify it

Same compound family, different construction. Mixing two options on one order is common and usually cheaper than splitting the purchase.

Standard Sheet

General purpose, 40–70 Shore A

0.5–10 mm · 1 200 mm wide

Food Grade Sheet

FDA and LFGB for contact surfaces

1–6 mm · translucent

High-Temperature Sheet

Red compound for 230 °C

1–8 mm · 60–80 A

Sponge & Conductive

Cellular or carbon-loaded sheet

2–10 mm · 20–40 A
WHERE IT RUNS

Applications this line is specified into

01

Die-cut gaskets

Flat seals punched from sheet with consistent compression.

02

Heat transfer pads

Thermal interface between a component and a heat sink.

03

Food contact surfaces

Cutting mats, conveyor covers and table liners.

04

Vibration isolation

Pads and washers under pumps and compressors.

05

Electrical insulation

Barrier sheet in cabinets and busbar supports.

06

Equipment liners

Cleanable surfaces for lab and medical equipment.

DIMENSIONS

Thickness, width and tolerance

Tolerance applies across the full width. A strip slit to 20 mm carries the same thickness band as the parent roll; slitting does not improve it.

FAQ

Questions engineers ask first

What thickness tolerance can you actually hold?
±0.10 mm up to 3 mm, then ±5 % of nominal. A ground sheet reaches ±0.05 mm but costs more and adds about a week. For a die-cut gasket, tell us the clamp load and we will tell you whether the tighter band is necessary.
Can you supply small quantities?
Yes. Sheet is the easiest product to buy in small volume: one roll or one panel, no tooling. That makes it the right way to trial a compound before committing to a moulded part.
Is the food grade sheet the same compound as your food tubing?
Yes, same compound family, so the FDA and LFGB documentation carries across. If you already qualify our food tubing, the sheet does not need a second material approval.
Can you apply adhesive backing?
Yes, with a choice of acrylic or silicone PSA. On silicone sheet the adhesive bonds well to the substrate but only moderately to the sheet, so it is for positioning rather than structural holding.
Do you cut parts as well as supply sheet?
We die-cut, waterjet and slit. For a repeat part, a steel rule die is inexpensive and usually pays back within the first few hundred pieces.

Tell us the thickness and the clamp load.

Those two numbers decide whether a standard or a ground sheet is the right purchase. We send a panel and the nine-point thickness record so your incoming inspection has a baseline.
